North Lake Tahoe weddings and parties bring guests in from everywhere, and they want the night to feel like the mountains: relaxed, elegant and a little wild by the end. I play piano and sing for ceremonies, cocktail hours, dinners and after-parties on both sides of the state line, from Truckee and Northstar to Incline Village.
Truckee and Northstar
Truckee weddings often move from a ceremony outside to a reception in a lodge or resort ballroom. I've played a dueling pianos wedding at The Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe at Northstar, so I know how resort teams run a wedding day. A solo booking follows the same timeline, with piano and vocals from the ceremony through dinner.
Incline Village and the Nevada shore
Incline Village celebrations are often at private lakefront homes, where a stage piano on the deck or in the great room sets the tone for the evening. I keep the sound sized to the property, which matters when the lake carries every note to the neighbors.
Conference and corporate receptions
Tahoe and Reno host plenty of conferences. I played a solo piano and vocal show for DTC's Title Sales Mastery conference at the Atlantis Casino Reno, a cocktail-hour set built to keep conversation going while people network. The same approach works for a retreat welcome reception on the North Shore.
Ceremony music at elevation
Mountain ceremonies can be windy and cool, even in summer. I bring weather-ready gear, plan placement with your coordinator, and keep the piano covered until it is time to play.
After-parties and dancing
After dinner I can DJ and MC, run my signature piano karaoke for the late-night crowd, or bring in the full Modern Dueling Pianos show for a two-piano sing-along.
Winter weddings
Snow-season dates are magical and take planning. I build in extra travel time for I-80 and the Mount Rose Highway and arrive early, so the weather never touches your timeline.
